Location: City of Albany
Position Overview
The Data Analyst 2 serves in the New York Department of Health's Bureau of Data Engineering and Governance, supporting the Office of Aging and Long-Term Care. The role acts as the central point of contact for licensed providers on data submission requirements, provides technical support for data collection tools, oversees submission workflows, schedules contracted staff for data activities, and monitors data quality and completion.
KeyQualifications
- Seven years of experience in data visualization, statistical models, and data mining tools
- Proficiency in data aggregation, data cleaning, and general-purpose programming languages (SAS, Python, R, SQL)
- Experience overseeing teams responsible for critical daily tasks and ensuring accurate, timely completion
- Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Experience with data collection and providing technical support for data submitters
