Job Description

Office of Professional Medical Conduct.

This Database Architect position will function as database developer/architect supporting multiple software applications for the DOH Office of Professional Medical Conduct.

Tasks may include but are not limited to the following:

• Analysis and design of database objects and data collection systems, including the transformation of legislative requirements into system functionality.
• Data modelling.
• Software development tasks including Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL Server coding, testing, and implementation
• Troubleshooting issues in the application to find solutions
• Preparation of technical and user documentation.

Database Architect–Determines database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming; reviews objectives with clients; evaluates current systems; provides database support by coding utilities, responding to user questions, and resolving problems.

Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

• 84 Months of experience in interpreting physical database models and experience with relational database concepts such as indexes, primary and foreign keys, and constraints using both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
• 84 Months of experience developing using Oracle PL/SQL, including database packages, procedures, functions and triggers.
• 84 Months of experience in working with Oracle version 11g or later.
• 84 Months of experience in using Oracle programming tools (SQL
  * Plus, SQL
  * Loader or other Oracle database programming tools).
• 60 Months of experience developing using Microsoft Transact-SQL (T-SQL)
• 60 Months of experience in designing relational databases.
• 24 Months of experience in integrating multiple database schemas.
• 18 Months of experience in using Git.
