Location: City of Albany
The Deputy Commissioner for Technology reports to the Executive Deputy Chief Information Officer and serves as a strategic leader within New York State's Office of Information Technology Services. The role involves directing IT service delivery to state agencies, managing IT investments and project portfolios, and aligning technology initiatives with agency business needs. This position requires close collaboration with agency leadership and ITS executive staff to develop statewide IT strategy and ensure efficient resource allocation.
Keyqualifications:
- Eight (8) years of experience developing, leading, and managing critical technology projects
- Five years of progressive experience in technology leadership
- Two or more years of senior leadership experience leading cross-functional teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work across business lines at senior levels
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with understanding of statistical analytics
- Demonstrated record of effective leadership and ability to build consensus across organizational boundaries
