The Information Systems Auditor 1 works under the direction of the Information Systems Auditor 2 at the New York State Comptroller's Office, providing independent appraisals of the IT environment and applications. The role involves performing IT-related audits and examinations to determine agency compliance, analyzing information systems and platforms, and supporting audit groups through technical problem-solving and tool development. The position is based in Albany, NY, and allows for telecommuting after an initial 8-week restriction period.
Keyqualifications:
- Seven years of Information Technology audit experience (or equivalent with degree substitutions)
- Experience performing IT-related audits including reviews of physical and logical access controls and general IT controls
- Experience analyzing and evaluating information systems, platforms, and network infrastructure
- Strong analytical skills and comprehensive IT experience
- Strong verbal and written communication and documentation skills
- Knowledge of industry standards such as IPPF, CIS critical security controls, NIST, and internal control frameworks
