Technology Analyst Cloud Solutions; NY HELPS; Records and Info Management Specialist

This Technology Analyst 1 position serves as a Records and Information Management Specialist within the New York Attorney General's IT Bureau, overseeing the lifecycle of digital records and information management systems across the organization. The role focuses on ensuring electronic records, documents, and data are created, stored, managed, and disposed of in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, leveraging technology to implement effective records management strategies.

Key responsibilities include managing enterprise content management systems, developing information governance policies, ensuring records security and compliance, supporting electronic discovery efforts, and maintaining digital retention schedules.

• Five years of information technology experience, one of which must be within cloud computing
• 3+ years of experience managing digital records in Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online or other ECM systems in a legal or public agency setting
• Proficiency with enterprise content management platforms such as SharePoint/Purview, Open Text, or IBM Filenet
• Strong knowledge of data security practices and regulatory requirements including HIPAA, GDPR, and NARA
• Experience with e-discovery, legal hold management, and audit practices in a digital context
• Excellent communication skills and ability to train staff on digital records management
