Paralegal (Albany)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Paralegal to join our legal team in Albany. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal procedures to support the review and process of External Appeal applications and the investigation of complaints involving regulated insurance companies.

Location: Albany, NY 12257
Work Mode: Work From Office
Duration: 2 years with the possibility of extension or permanent conversion

• Evaluate External Appeal applications under Insurance Law Article 49
• Screenrequests in accordance with the Federal No Surprise Act
• Reviewrequests against insurance law, regulations, and agency protocols
• Request and review documentation from relevant parties
• Investigatecomplaints against insurance companies and apply statutory requirements
• Communicate findings to consumers and regulated entities
• Maintain accurate electronic case files
• Research,process, and resolve consumer/provider complaints
• Performrelated administrative duties as needed

• Paralegal Certificate required
• Abilityto work independently and within a team
• Strong skills in interpreting legal mandates and regulations
• Project management experience handling multiple complex files
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
• Reliablewith a strong attendance record
