This is a full-time, on-site role located in Albany, NY, for an Assistant District Attorney. The responsibilities include managing criminal prosecutions, conducting legal research, preparing for court proceedings and representing the People of the State of New York in courtroom settings. The Assistant District Attorney will work closely with law enforcement and court personnel to investigate and prosecute cases, ensuring justice is served while balancing the needs of victims, defendants and the community.
This role involves active participation in courtroom procedures, including trials, hearings and plea negotiations. Salary is based upon experience.
- Proficiency in Criminal Law, Legal Issues and Criminal Justice
- Familiarity with the court system, including courtroom procedures and protocols
- Strong analytical, research and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with law enforcement, legal professionals and community stakeholders
- Licensed to practice law in New York State and in good standing with the New York State Bar
- Prior experience in criminal law or prosecutorial roles is a plus
- Demonstrated commitment to justice, equity and public service
