Location: City of Albany

Job Summary

Customer Service Parts Coordinator at Ryder (Shop Location – Albany, NY) – responsible for parts ordering, receiving, cataloging, inventory management, PO processing, vendor payments, and ensuring inventory levels for customer uptime. Shift: Monday‑Friday, 7:00‑3:00. Hourly compensation: $26.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee parts ordering, receiving, cataloging, and inventory reconciliation at a single location.
  • Process Purchase Orders and vendor payment requests.
  • Ensure correct parts are purchased from the right vendor and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Conduct physical inventory and maintain min‑max inventory control levels.
  • Process invoices and manage invoice records and statistics.
  • Manage parts obsolescence and coordinate warranty shipping and parts return to vendors.
  • Maintain parts room organization, cleanliness, and supplies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in inventory and parts administration or clerical functions preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Organizational, prioritizing, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; persuasive interpersonal skills.
  • Adherence to Ryder’s Safety Standards and ability to walk shop wearing safety shoes; may operate pallet jack.
