Procurement Manager

Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 per year
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supply Chain/Procurement Manager to join our team in the Aerospace/Defense industry. The successful candidate will have expertise in managing the procurement of large BOMs for Aero-Structural parts and components such as Aluminum, Titanium, Sheet Metal, Fasteners, and more. The role demands a robust understanding of warehouse management, cost reduction strategies, inventory control, and compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (D-FAR).
This individual will have the opportunity to influence and shape the supply chain strategy, making a significant impact on our operations.
- Oversee and manage the entire supply chain process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in production planning, warehouse management, inventory control, shipping, and receiving.
- Develop and implement cost reduction strategies to maximize profitability without sacrificing product quality or delivery timelines.
- Ensure compliance with FAR and D-FAR regulations in all supply chain activities.
- Forecast demand to ensure the availability of products and resources, taking proactive measures to avoid supply shortages or excess inventory.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and improve the supply chain process.
- Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain performance, taking corrective action as needed.
- Establish strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts to secure advantageous terms.
- Train and mentor supply chain staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain management in the Engineering industry, with a proven track record of success.
- Must have experience managing direct reports with supply chain and operations.
- Aerospace/Defense industry experience is a must.
- Experience working in a high-mix, low-volume environment with structural parts or components.
- Proficient in production planning, warehouse management, cost reduction strategies, inventory control, and shipping and receiving.
- Strong knowledge of FAR and D-FAR regulations.
- Proficient in supply chain management software and tools.
- Strong commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity.
