Duties Description The State University of New York, or SUNY, is the largest comprehensive system of public higher education in the United States, with 64 colleges and universities spanning the state from Long Island to the Adirondacks to Buffalo. SUNY System Administration employees, based in Albany and New York City, provide critical support for SUNY campuses, employees, and students to advance SUNY's mission of providing high-quality, affordable higher education for all.

Across a wide range of roles, from finance and legal counsel to student support, academic affairs, IT, admissions, and more, our employees work toward advancing the four priority pillars established by SUNY Chancellor John

B. King Jr. and the SUNY Board of Trustees: student success; research and scholarship; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and economic development and upward mobility. SUNY System Administration is a mission-driven workplace with robust New York State benefits including health insurance, retirement, time off, and paid family leave.

Job Description:

The Project Manager for the Advancing Success in Associate Pathways | Advancing Completion through Engagement (ASAP|ACE) Data Integration Project will lead the development and implementation of a centralized data system for SUNY ASAP|ACE, which is the largest replication of the evidence-based completion model in the nation. Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Success and Transformational Initiatives, this position is key to managing communications between campus partners, external consultants, and SUNY System Administration to ensure the project is completed successfully.

The Project Manager will conduct assessments of campus data capacity and infrastructure, facilitate the integration of data from various sources into a centralized online data system, develop and lead training and professional development of campus staff in use of data for program management purposes, and support a culture of continuous improvement by ensuring the system supports data-driven decision-making for program management and evaluation purposes.

The Project Manager will work closely with SUNY's Office of Student Success leadership and external consultants to design and implement the new data system. This role will require collaboration with both internal and external teams, as well as the ability to manage and navigate the complexities of a multi-campus project. This role requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of the ASAP|ACE program by improving how campuses track and utilize data to enhance student success. The role also requires a proactive and collaborative approach to campus engagement, building trust, anticipating challenges, and providing hands-on support to help campuses adopt and sustain the new data system.
