Pay Range: $23-$33/hr

Production Mill workers serve a crucial role in crafting and manufacturing high-quality wooden components for various architectural and cabinetry projects.
Their work contributes to the creation of functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces for clients. The role requires a keen eye for detail, precision craftsmanship, and a passion for working with wood and other required materials.
- Woodworking:
Craft and assemble wooden components such as cabinets, doors, furniture, and architectural details according to project specifications. - Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and plans to ensure accurate execution of designs. - Materials Selection:
Choose appropriate wood materials, veneers, and hardware for each project, considering durability, aesthetics, and budget constraints. - Machine Operation:
Operate woodworking machinery, hand tools, and equipment safely and efficiently to shape, cut, and join wood. - Quality Control:
Monitor machine performance and conduct regular quality checks on finished products to ensure precision and adherence to specifications. - Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery and tools to keep them in optimal working condition. - Safety:
Adhere to safety protocols, including the safe operation of machines, tools and equipment, and report any safety issues or concerns. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of machine settings, maintenance activities, and production data. - Collaboration:
Work closely with team members, including designers and production managers, to achieve project goals and meet client expectations.
Skills and Abilities
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., chisels, planes, routers)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
- Understanding of joinery techniques and methods
- Knowledge of different types of wood, materials, and finishes
- Competence in cabinet and furniture assembly
- Strong measurement and mathematical skills for precise cutting and assembly
- Ability to perform accurate calculations for dimensions and materials
- Knowledge of different materials and their handling requirements
- Attention to detail and commitment to precision
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and handle materials.
- The ability to stand continuously for up to 2 hours at a time.
- The ability to lift up to 75 lbs frequently and repeatedly.
- Manual Dexterity
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, fumes, and loud noises. Employees are always required to wear PPE while on the manufacturing floor.
