Assistant Miller
You will be responsible for running the cleaning house side of the mill, supporting the shift miller, and ensuring all wheat and flour meets required specifications while following all Food Safety Policies and GMPs and completing sanitation and IPM tasks. You will utilize milling knowledge and the ability to set up machinery to maximize results.

- Responsible for specific phases of milling and wheat cleaning operations as assigned.
- Execute sanitation duties and maintain sanitation standards per policy.
- Assist in preventative checks and mill repair, developing mechanical ability.
- Accurately follow the schedule and specifications for wheat blending, providing feedback.
- Perform testing and monitoring of product through milling and cleaning processes.
- Maintain tools and equipment and execute processes in 5S, Pristine AMPS standards using tools such as Centerline and 5
Why to determine root cause and corrective actions. - Maintain documentation of activities and inventories through computer or paper systems.
- Communicate effectively with management, team members and customers.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of industrial experience in milling, agricultural, food production or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and ability to learn new programs.
- Preferred: 2+ years industrial experience, mechanical troubleshooting ability, understanding of safety behaviors, and mill production experience.
- Ability to wear PPE as required (safety glasses, protective footwear, hard hat, hearing protection, respirator at times).
- Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Stand, walk, rotate, bend/stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, balance and reach or lift at varying heights and levels.
- Frequent standing, walking, rotating, bending/stooping, twisting, crouching, kneeling, balancing and reaching or lifting at varying heights and levels.
- Occasional shoveling, carrying, pushing and pulling, climbing stairs or ladders, working in confined or elevated places.
