Location: Albany, NY
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing team in Albany, NY 11pm to 7:30am. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This position plays a key role in minimizing downtime and supporting continuous production.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement timely repairs.
- Inspect machinery and identify opportunities for improvement and increased reliability.
- Install, align, adjust, and test new or repaired equipment.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and work orders.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, GMPs, and company policies.
- Support production teams by responding to equipment breakdowns and operational issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with automated manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting, motors, drives, and controls.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Experience in food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods production.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and reaching.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing conditions.
- Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and move equipment and materials as needed
- 11pm to 7:30am
