Job SummaryWe are seeking a friendly and compassionate Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. You will provide comprehensive care to patients with heart-related conditions and work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations, medical histories, and diagnostic tests
- Collaborate with cardiologists to develop and implement treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular conditions
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Conduct cardiac stress tests, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and other diagnostic procedures
- Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular health, preventive measures, and the importance of medication adherence
- Provide counseling and emotional support to patients and their families
- Knowledge of CMS Regulations and NCQA HEDIS Guidelines
- Document accurate medical records to ensure compliance with OSHA and Government regulations and perform duties in accordance with site quality and safety systems
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
- Analyze and organize the care of critically complex patients
- Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
- DEA License
- CPR BCLS/BLS certified
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Preferred experience in cardiology (training provided)
- Preferred experience in documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.) (training provided)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand/walk/work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
