Mental Health Unit RN - Night Shift

Albany, NY

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

The Mental Health Unit seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care for patients in a locked unit setting. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in managing various mental health disorders and demonstrate strong crisis intervention skills.

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health disorders.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Implement and manage crisis intervention protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Conduct assessments and documentation in Epic charting system.

• Must hold a current New York State nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient mental health unit experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with crisis intervention and behavior management techniques.
• Familiarity with various patient diagnoses, including anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and psychotic disorders.
