Job Overview

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Certified Neuro RN (Registered Nurse) to work in Albany, NY for a 13‑week contract assignment. The role includes daily oversight and management of the neuro‑patient population, collaborating with nursing leadership, neuro/neurosurgery physicians and extenders, and identifying opportunities to improve patient education, processes, and discharge planning. Shift: 3 x 12‑hour days (36 hours per week). Pay depends on location and experience.

• At least 2 years of experience as a Neuro RN (Certified Neuro RN).

• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize resources; monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
• Evaluate learning needs of patients and families, and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Delegate patient care to ancillary personnel effectively; precept student nurses and new hires.
