📌 Position Overview

Job Title:

Travel RN – Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCU) – Nights

Shift: Nights – 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Weekends:
Every Other

Rotating 🚨 Critical Requirements

• Minimum 2 years PCU / ICU experience

• Epic experience – REQUIRED

• ACLS – REQUIRED

• Must complete competency exam within 24 hours of submission

• Navy blue scrubs required

• No local candidates (AMC county restrictions apply)
• 🏥 Unit Acuity & Clinical Expectations This is high-acuity Progressive Critical Care , not basic stepdown. Patient population includes:

• Respiratory failure

• Sepsis

• Closed head injuries

• Multi-system organ dysfunction

• Complex trauma

• Surgical complications

• Endocrine crises

• Average assignment: 3 high-acuity patients 🔥 Must Be Comfortable With:

• Pressor titration (per protocol)

• Antihypertensive drips

• Sedation & Narcan drips

• Thrombolytics

• Arterial lines (A-line)

• CVP monitoring

• EVD (External Ventricular Drain)

• Orthopedic traction

• Infection prevention protocols

• HFNC

• BiPAP / CPAP

• Oxypendent therapy
