RN‑Education Specialist

Hours:

Monday–Friday, 08:00–4:30pm with occasional off‑shift and weekend rotation. Salary Range: $94,957.00 – $ (prorated based on hours worked).

• Participate in orientation/onboarding of new staff.
• Obtain and maintain certification to teach BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and BTR.
• Participate in the ANCC CE Provider Unit at Albany Medical Center.
• Educate, support, coach, and role‑model professional nursing practice.
• Develop evidence‑based learning.
• Participate in new product roll‑outs.
• Collaborate with educators and leaders across AMC to ensure successful transition of new staff.
• Support innovation, quality, safety, and patient experience through participation in meetings, work groups, and focus groups across AMC.

• Bachelor's degree in nursing – required.
• Graduate of a School of Nursing – strongly preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State – required.
• Matriculated into a Master's Degree in Nursing program with evidence of completion within 2 years of hire – required.
• Master's degree in Nursing – strongly preferred.
• BLS certification – required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP instructor – preferred.

Workforce members are expected to ensure that access is based on a “need to know” and is the minimum necessary to properly perform assigned duties.
