We are looking for a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Vascular Interventional Radiology Unit (VIR). This role involves peri‑procedural nursing care of outpatients and inpatients undergoing interventional radiology procedures, including administration of conscious sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and phase‑1 anesthesia recovery for pediatric and adult patients.
Responsibilities- Provide peri‑procedural nursing care for interventional radiology procedures.
- Administer conscious sedation and monitor hemodynamics.
- Manage vented and critical care patients.
- Assist with central venous device placement.
- Perform phase‑1 anesthesia recovery for pediatric and adult patients.
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, and document treatment per company policy and regulatory requirements.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify patient conditions.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining nursing professional standards.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- 1–3 years of RN experience in critical care.
- Current New York State Registered Nurse license.
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Critical care experience with ACLS and/or PALS; pediatric experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time‑management skills.
- Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem‑solving tools applied to patient care quality improvement.
