Position Title:
Physician Assistant – ENT Surgery
- Assess and manage patients, including ordering diagnostic tests, consultations, and therapeutic interventions.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate appropriate care plans for patients.
- Perform comprehensive healthcare services: assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, and referrals as appropriate.
- Augment physicians by conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ordering laboratory studies, documenting data, and providing direct patient care.
- Apply knowledge of anatomy, neurology, microbiology, physiology, psychology, pharmacology, and related disciplines to patient care.
- Conduct patient assessments and physical examinations, collect vital signs and clinical specimens, prepare patients for tests, therapy, or treatments.
- Order, interpret, and act on medical laboratory test results; diagnose medical conditions and administer medications or treatments.
- Perform minor surgeries when indicated.
- Staff outpatient addiction medicine clinic in collaboration with attending physicians.
- Round and coordinate care for inpatient consult service, including patients admitted to Trauma, Surgery, Medicine, Pediatrics, and Ob/Gyn.
- Coordinate care for emergency department patients with opioid use disorder and related complaints.
- Provide clinical support and education for providers caring for opioid use disorder patients.
- Collaborate with community partners to enhance access to medication‑assisted therapy for opioid use disorder.
- Complete accurate patient coding for billing, maintain detailed medical reports, and manage inventory of medical supplies and instruments.
- Serve as a resource and team leader during clinical shifts to ensure smooth patient flow, treatment, and discharge, including triaging.
