The Teresian House is currently hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant. This opportunity is Full Time or Part Time and consistently either Day, Evening or Night shift!

Role Responsibilities:
  • Follow instructions listed on the individual resident's assigned care card/care plan when providing any care.
  • Provide personal care to the Residents by giving bed baths, tub baths, and showers.
  • Assist the Residents with dressing, oral hygiene, nails, hair care and shaving and document in real time.
  • When assigned, take, observe and record temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, and weights.
  • Assist in floor kitchen, serves food using meal tickets and assists with clean up as assigned.
  • Document and give report to LPN/RN concerning changes in condition of assigned Residents. Report all other changes to LPN/RN for immediate follow up.
  • Perform routine safety rounds and final rounds 15-30 minutes prior to the end of the shift making sure residents are safe and rooms are in order.
Qualifications of CNA candidates:
  • Have completed a 100-hour NYS training course and/or have current NYS CNA certification.
  • Possess a high school education or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently and get along with others, follow instructions, accept supervision.
  • Reliable, dependable; must show initiative.
  • Able to read and comprehend assignments.
  • Perform simple math (i.e., weights and intake and output).
