Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to neuro and neuro-progressive patients in a hospital setting. Administer treatments, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assess neuro-focused patients to determine care needs and develop treatment plans.
- Administer medications and therapies following established protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and neurological status continuously.
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient care and progress in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare providers for comprehensive patient management.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control, and facility policies.
- Hold a valid RN license with at least 2 years of nursing experience.
- Demonstrate at least 1 year of experience in neuro-progressive, ICU, or neuro units.
- Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Show proficiency with Epic electronic health record systems.
- Exhibit strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Be willing to complete a neuro-progressive competency exam and skills checklist.
