Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. The role involves providing comprehensive care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders and working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive healthcare services and coordinate patient care
  • Assess and treat patients with gastrointestinal diseases and conditions
  • Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat residents' physical and mental well‑being
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
  • Prescribe medication and administer treatments
  • Provide counseling to residents and their families
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for seamless coordination of care
  • Manage chronic conditions and monitor progress
  • Make appropriate adjustments to care plans
  • Commit to person‑centered care
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for elderly residents in the nursing home
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in long‑term care or a skilled nursing facility
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
  • DEA License
  • CPR BCLS/BLS certified
  • Must hold a Master’s Degree in Nursing
  • Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • A year of experience in Gastroenterology
  • Preferred experience documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.); training provided
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand, walk, or work on feet up to 6‑8 hours per day
