Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner – Practice Emergency Medicine

Location:

Saratoga Springs, New York.

Pay Range: $70 - $80/hr.

Full‑Time, Varied shifts.

• Assessment and management of patients, including ordering diagnostic tests, consultations, therapeutic interventions or procedures, and the implementation and evaluation of an appropriate plan of care.
• Provides comprehensive healthcare sensitive to the needs of the population, including assessment, diagnosing, prescribing, counseling, and referrals where appropriate, enabling patient choice in provision of care, complementing roles of MD and multidisciplinary team.
• Augments a physician's ability to provide medical services to patients; collects and documents data, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies and professional consultations, and provides direct patient care services.
• Conducts patient assessments and completes physical examinations, collects clinical data including vital signs, collects specimens, prepares patients for tests, therapy, or treatments, orders and interprets medical laboratory test results, diagnoses medical conditions, administers medications or treatments, and performs minor surgery.
• Completes accurate patient documentation for effective billing and maintains detailed patient medical reports.
• Serves as a resource and team leader during clinical shifts to ensure the smooth flow of patient processing, treatment, and discharge including patient triaging.
• Maintains current knowledge relative to professional practice.
• Maintains all required professional documentation, such as license, certifications, infection control, ACLS/BLS, DEA, and system requirements.
• Acts as a resource to staff and implements educational programs as needed.

Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State by the time of credentialing.

Compensation may vary based upon overall experience and qualifications, shift, and location. In addition to base compensation, the total compensation package includes participation in an incentive program.
