RN - PACU

Position:
Travel RN – PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)

Location:

Albany, NY

Duration: 2+ months with possible extension

Pay range: $60/hr - $65/hr

Travel and per diem packages available based on eligibility.

Schedule:

Shift Timing: 12:00 PM – 12:30 AM

Client is seeking an experienced PACU Travel RN for a high-acuity recovery unit. The RN will provide specialized care to post-operative patients, monitor vitals, manage pain control, and collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure patient safety and comfort during recovery.

• Monitor post-surgical patients’ vital signs and level of consciousness
• Administer medications, pain management, and IV therapy
• Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and support teams for safe recovery transition
• Handle emergency situations as needed in a fast-paced environment
• Provide patient and family education upon discharge
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control, and safety standards
• May be required to float to similar units based on facility need

• Licensure:
  Active NY RN license (No exceptions; pending license not accepted)
• Certifications:
  
  AHA BLS (Required); AHA ACLS (Preferred)
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience
• EMR System: EPIC (Experience Required)
• Education:
  
  Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
