Assistant Manager Nursing- Float Pool

Job Summary

Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for the delivery of patient care within the defined patient care area on the assigned primary shift. They contribute to goal setting and defining opportunities for the patient care area in line with organizational goals and strategic nursing initiatives.

• Deliver patient care and oversee operations within the unit of specialty.
• Mentor staff to develop a patient care team that demonstrates nursing leadership, professionalism, competency, and quality.
• Collaborate with patients, families, peers, and physicians to achieve throughput and care coordination.
• Serve as an expert in patient care within the specialty unit.
• Perform essential duties as outlined in the annual competency assessment.

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Valued experience in an equivalent nursing managerial role.
• Understanding of HIPAA and other federal/New York State statutes related to protected health information.
• Capable of ensuring that access to sensitive information is based on "need to know" and protects patient confidentiality.

Salary Range: $94,957.00 - $ (Hourly: $38.54 - $63.60)
