Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a travel Registered Nurse for a 13‑week assignment in Albany, New York. The role requires a Cardiac Cath Lab RN to assist cardiologists during procedures.

• Minimum one year of recent experience as a Cath Lab RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS certification

• PALS or ENPC certifications
• RCIS certification
• Other certifications or licenses as required for the position

• Conduct assessments of patients prior to procedures, including reviewing medical history and performing physical exams
• Assist in patient positioning and placement of EKG electrodes and cardiac leads
• Assist physicians during procedures (catheters, wires, balloons, stents, structural heart devices, etc.)
• Operate and monitor hemodynamic equipment, recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms and waveforms
• Assist with arterial and/or venous sheath removal using closure devices, manual pressure, or mechanical compression, and transport patients to recovery area
• Monitor vital signs, ECG, and hemodynamic parameters during catheterization
• Support post‑procedure care and monitor patient recovery
• Maintain and troubleshoot cath lab equipment, ensuring proper function and supplies
• Communicate effectively with team members, patients, families, and physicians
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection‑control guidelines, and regulatory standards
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions and proficiency with PC skills
• Physical: ability to remain stationary, move equipment up to 100 lbs, push, pull, and bend

• Technical: fine manipulation, push/pull, equipment use during procedures
• Mental: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, handle irregular schedules, maintain focus on detail
