Job Overview
Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab is seeking a travel Registered Nurse for a 13‑week assignment in Albany, New York. The role requires a Cardiac Cath Lab RN to assist cardiologists during procedures.

40 per week (8‑hour nights) - Type:

- Minimum one year of recent experience as a Cath Lab RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification
- PALS or ENPC certifications
- RCIS certification
- Other certifications or licenses as required for the position
- Conduct assessments of patients prior to procedures, including reviewing medical history and performing physical exams
- Assist in patient positioning and placement of EKG electrodes and cardiac leads
- Assist physicians during procedures (catheters, wires, balloons, stents, structural heart devices, etc.)
- Operate and monitor hemodynamic equipment, recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms and waveforms
- Assist with arterial and/or venous sheath removal using closure devices, manual pressure, or mechanical compression, and transport patients to recovery area
- Monitor vital signs, ECG, and hemodynamic parameters during catheterization
- Support post‑procedure care and monitor patient recovery
- Maintain and troubleshoot cath lab equipment, ensuring proper function and supplies
- Communicate effectively with team members, patients, families, and physicians
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection‑control guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions and proficiency with PC skills
- Physical: ability to remain stationary, move equipment up to 100 lbs, push, pull, and bend
- Interpersonal: work effectively with various personnel while maintaining professionalism
- Technical: fine manipulation, push/pull, equipment use during procedures
- Mental: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, handle irregular schedules, maintain focus on detail
