Chief Nurse Administrator (CNA)
Siena University is seeking a Chief Nurse Administrator to lead the Baldwin Nursing Programs. The role provides effective leadership to achieve the program’s mission, goals, and expected outcomes. Responsibilities include academic and administrative functions such as curricular coordination, assessment, partnership development, resource management, and recruitment support. The CNA serves as the official liaison between the University and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and ensures alignment with CCNE Standards for Accreditation, AACN Essentials, and New York State Department of Education requirements.
Responsibilities- Provide strategic vision for a young and growing department expanding into new programs.
- Lead administrative matters including budget, supervision of professional staff, partnership agreements, and resource allocation.
- Act as Siena’s liaison to CCNE, partner schools, and national nursing organizations.
- Oversee accreditation, annual reporting, and assessment processes.
- Collaborate with the Dean and/or Chair to mentor faculty on curriculum development, faculty evaluation, hiring, and full‑time/adjunct supervision.
- Work with students on academic standards, progression, complaints, degree completion, and partner school experience.
- Support recruitment, marketing, and enrollment of nursing students.
- A doctoral degree in nursing from a regionally accredited program.
- A current, unencumbered RN license or eligibility to obtain one in New York.
- Record of faculty achievement commensurate with the rank of Associate Professor.
- Demonstrated leadership experience as department chair, nursing program administrator, or a significant contributor to institutional committees or initiatives.
- Commitment to the Caring Science model and Siena’s Franciscan Mission.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Skill in identifying, resolving, and consulting on a broad range of administrative and personnel issues.
- Knowledge of or experience with accreditation processes and CCNE standards.
- Experience supervising professional staff, overseeing budgets, or other supervisory leadership functions.
- Experience developing, assessing, and overseeing nursing curriculum.
- Demonstrated record of leading projects to timely completion.
Annual Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000 (University good‑faith estimate).
