Location: City of Albany
A well-established skilled nursing facility in the Albany, NY area is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee all nursing operations.
Duties:- Supervise and support all nursing staff within the facility
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, and retention of nursing staff
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and ongoing staff competency
- Monitor nursing staff performance and conduct
- Maintain awareness of all clinical incidents and ensure proper follow-up
- Assess and support the health needs of all residents
- Current New York State RN license required
- Must have prior DON experience in Long-term care to be considered
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in long-term care
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
