Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg

Job Overview

TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Med Surg assignment in Albany, Georgia. The successful candidate will work a 12‑hour shift schedule for 13 weeks, totaling 36 hours per week.

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients’ immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and provide appropriate treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑operative patients.
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed.

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• BLS certification (required).
• NIH certification or equivalent (required).
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Will work in a fast‑paced environment with patients who may be confused or agitated.

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation). Tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Benefits start day 1 and include:
