LPN - Adult Otolaryngology

Position Summary

Work Shift: Day (United States)

Salary Range: $59,066.00 - $88,599.00

Under the direction of the attending physician, RN, Lead LPN or practice coordinator, the LPN will provide direct patient care and assist in the following clinical functions to all providers.

ENT Office – Albany, NY

Work schedule: Monday – Friday

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time LPN to join our ENT practice team of healthcare providers! This is a fast-paced clinic that strives to provide exceptional care for our patients.

Under the direction of the Provider, RN, or Nurse supervisor, the LPN will have the opportunity to perform direct patient care including obtaining and recording vital signs, current health information, and assisting with in‑office procedures, as well as answering various tasks.

• Obtains and accurately records patient’s vital signs, through the rooming process
• Documents components of patient’s history
• Communicates in an open and appropriate manner with patients, visitors and staff
• Participates in in‑office procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare provider
• Performs diagnostic CLIA waived testing
• Performs venipuncture to obtain blood for lab testing
• Prescription call-backs per scope of practice
• Answering own and physician’s tasks based on scope of practice
• Preps patient’s chart for pertinent clinical information
• Maintains inventory of supplies, and keeps patient examination rooms stocked
• Adheres to AMC’s regulatory compliance issues

This role may require periodic floating to other sites.

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Current NYS license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Previous experience in a patient care setting preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, patients and their family members or other employees within the work setting.
