Description:

Registered Nurse (Emergency Room) – Albany Memorial Hospital.

• Deliver care, including assessing needs, planning and meeting the needs of patients in the Emergency Room.
• Assess the needs of each patient assigned.
• Plan the nursing care needed, including spiritual, emotional and physiological needs.
• Ensure the plan of care is carried out through performance and or leadership of supervised personnel and that it is evaluated.
• Accountably report to the Nurse Manager for the quality of patient care delivered.
• Modify and deliver care specific to the age, growth and development of patients according to the unit scope of services.
• When serving in the charge role, assume clinical and leadership functions, assessing the needs of each patient and planning the nursing care needed to meet those needs.

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
• Ability to assess, plan, direct, intervene and evaluate patient care.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• 1 year of Emergency Room experience is preferred.

$36.50 – $49.95 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
