Deliver care, including assessing needs, planning, and meeting the needs of patients in the step‑down unit.
Responsibilities- Assess the needs of each patient assigned.
- Plan nursing care, including spiritual, emotional and physiological needs.
- Ensure the plan of care is carried out and evaluated through performance and leadership of supervised personnel.
- Accountable to the Nurse Manager for the quality of patient care delivered.
- Modify and deliver care specific to the age, growth and development of patients according to the unit scope of services.
- When serving in the charge role, direct clinical and leadership functions, assess patient needs, and plan nursing care to meet those needs.
- A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York.
- Ability to assess, plan, direct, intervene and evaluate patient care.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred: 1 year of RN experience.
$40.00 – $53.10 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may vary based on location.
