• One year recent experience as an OR RN
• Valid RN license, compliant with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

• ACLS, PALS, or ENPC certifications
• OR Nursing Certification (CNOR)
• Additional certifications/licenses as required

• Prepare the operating room, ensuring instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready.
• Assist in patient positioning and preparation, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Anticipate team needs and provide instruments and supplies promptly.
• Monitor patient condition during surgery, documenting changes and notifying surgeon.
• Handle instruments and supplies, ensuring proper use, sterilization, and disposal.
• Manage specimen collection, labeling, and transport per protocols.
• Accurately document all patient care aspects.
• Participate in patient hand‑off communication during pre‑ and post‑operative phases.
• Assist in cleaning and restocking between cases.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure adherence to policies and standards.
• Follow safety rules, use PPE, and employ infection prevention measures.
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.

• Critical thinking, service excellence and strong interpersonal communication.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and verbal communication in English.
• PC skills and following written/verbal instructions.
• Physical stamina: ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lb), push/pull, bend.
• Professional attitude with varied personnel.
• Fine motor skills for manipulation of instruments during procedures.
• Stress coping, ability to work under deadlines and supervision.
• Visual acuity for effective communication.
