American Traveler is hiring a Neuro-Progressive Care RN for a 13-week day shift travel assignment requiring Epic experience and prior neuro stepdown or ICU background.

• Neuro-Progressive Care/Stepdown unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Required to participate in 5-bed Med-Surg rotation
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active NY RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA or RQI only)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Neuro-Progressive/Stepdown or ICU required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must complete a Neuro-Progressive competency exam and skills checklist upon offer
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• One professional reference from a supervisor or manager within the last year required (charge nurse references not accepted)
• Medical exemption required for flu declination; personal or religious exemptions not accepted

• Navy blue scrubs required as part of dress code
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than 3 call-outs within the 13-week contract will result in termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• RTO must be requested at time of submission
• Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of specific counties (Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington) are not eligible for this position
