Travel RN - Psychiatric

American Traveler is hiring a Med-Surg/Inpatient Psychiatry RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring an active NY RN license and 2+ years of specialty experience.

• Active NYS RN license required
• BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med-Surg/Inpatient Psychiatry required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum 1 professional reference from a supervisor or manager, dated within the past year (charge nurse references not accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required
• Medical exemption (signed by a licensed professional) required for flu vaccine exemption; personal or religious exemptions not accepted

• Inpatient Psychiatry unit within a hospital setting
• 13-week assignment with day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Uses Epic EMR
• Provide direct patient care within a combined Med-Surg/Inpatient Psychiatric unit
• Local candidates residing within Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible
• Candidates with less than 2 years of Med-Surg experience will be required to pass a competency test with up to 2 attempts
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• RTO must be requested at the time of consideration
