American Traveler is hiring a Critical Care Float Pool RN for a night shift travel position requiring prior travel experience and Epic proficiency.

• Critical Care Float Pool role covering neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, and progressive critical care unit (PCCU)
• Also covers ICU/PCC patients awaiting bed placement in the ED and PACU
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every weekend required with rotating holiday coverage
• Floating to a variety of ICUs required
• 48 hour per week schedules may be considered

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI required
• Minimum 2 years of recent relevant specialty experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Level I trauma center experience preferred
• Experience floating across multiple ICU settings highly desired
• Epic EMR experience required
• US Social Security Number required, Canadian SIN not accepted
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Minimum of one supervisor or manager reference (not a charge nurse) within the past year
• Medical exemption only accepted for flu declinations; personal or religious declinations not accepted

• Provide ICU-level care across multiple critical care units as part of a float pool team
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Competency testing required within 24 hours of consideration, 2 attempts allowed to pass
• Local candidates from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties are not eligible
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week assignment may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration
