American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and an active NY RN license.

• Critical Care Float Pool unit within a hospital setting, including ICU, MICU, Neuro, and SICU units
• Day shift schedule
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience required
• AHA or RQI issued certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Minimum 1 supervisor or manager reference (not a charge nurse) required, dated within the past year
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN required for consideration;
  Canadian SIN not accepted
• Must complete ICU competency testing with up to 2 attempts to pass
• MS applicants with less than 2 years of experience must complete MS testing with up to 2 attempts to pass

• Float within critical care areas as part of the float pool team
• Only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted for flu vaccination; personal or religious declinations are not permitted
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period may result in contract termination, and make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• RTO must be requested at the time of consideration
• Not eligible for candidates residing within a 50-mile radius in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties
• Travel pairs are not accepted for this position
