- Perform general histology duties.
- Perform general cytopreparatory duties.
- Require minimal support in understanding the basic operation of all instrumentation and using equipment according to SOP and department policies and procedures.
- Keep up to date on policies, procedures, skills, documentation requirements for continuing education, checklists and successful completion of competency surveys in a timely manner.
- Perform and document corrective and preventative maintenance on equipment and instruments according to protocol.
- Access, understand and adhere to procedure and policy manuals within department.
- Follow SOP for specimen collection/processing/storage/handling/ testing.
- Maintain correct patient testing.
- Perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Maintain and utilize cross training skills.
- Associate’s degree in Histotechnology and Certification.
- Current NYS license.
Pay Range: $28.55 - $39.03 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
