The Software Analyst will work under the guidance of a Testing Lead for the Continuing Medicaid Eligibility Modernization Program, supporting the implementation of this high‑profile Department of Health initiative in fast‑paced iterations. The analyst will take an active role in the business and technical aspects of testing and validating the design and solution developed to meet business needs, creating test plans and test cases, identifying functional defects, performing regression testing, assisting with UAT, and creating other quality assurance documents for the project.
- Automate test script creation and execution.
- Create test data sets.
- Write and execute test cases.
- Research, resolve, and test production/UAT defects.
- Participate in all phases of the systems development life cycle including unit, functional, integration, user acceptance, and performance testing.
- Review requirement documents.
- Perform solution exploration.
- Perform user acceptance testing.
- Perform regression testing.
- 84 months of experience working on complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, cross‑functional teams, integrated systems or applications, formal project governance, and multiple testing phases.
- At least two years in a leadership role as a Testing Analyst, including preparing documentation, reviews, and approvals of test results from key stakeholders using industry standard methods.
- 84 months of client‑focused quality assurance managing testing across multiple enterprise‑level projects that are mission‑critical, highly visible to executive leadership or external stakeholders, have significant organizational or public impact, involve multiple business units or agencies, and require coordination across complex functional domains within a matrix organization.
- 60 months of experience developing test plans, test cases, tracking defects and developing automated tests, preferably in a software development environment.
- 60 months of experience with tools such as JIRA and JIRA‑related plug‑ins, or Application Lifecycle Management/Quality Center as the defect tracking and test planning tools.
- 60 months of experience configuring automated testing using tools such as Selenium, Katalon Studio, or related tools.
- 36 months of experience leading and managing functional test planning and test execution activities with a focus on the Health and Human Services domain.
- Bachelor’s degree with coursework in Information Technology or related fields.
- Professional certifications and other documentation that support the above qualifications.
