Assistant Director of Quality Improvement

Role Overview

The Assistant Director of Quality Improvement is responsible for the oversight, management, and implementation of the agency’s quality assurance plans and programs. This role participates in all aspects of incident management in a highly regulated environment and ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies.

• Define quality indicators and develop tools/tracking systems in collaboration with the Senior Director of QA/QI, program management, and staff.
• Conduct and oversee regular reviews and observations to assess programs, individual care, clinical performance, and records.
• Analyze trends, track follow-up, and develop response plans following site surveys and critical events.
• Manage and maintain Quality Reviews, Quality Initiatives, and other activities that improve care, services, and operational efficiency.
• Integrate QI plans and processes into individual services.
• Serve as the agency’s investigator for all incidents as needed.
• Participate in the department-wide on-call rotation.

• Associate's degree in Management, Business, Health Administration, or related Human Services field and at least 4 years of relevant experience in quality assurance/improvement, program oversight, or regulatory compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in the same field and at least 2 years of relevant experience in quality assurance/improvement or related areas.
• OPWDD or NYS Justice Center Investigation Certification Training is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation Range: $60,223.74 - $71,683.75
