Calibration Technician

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for Calibration/ Metrology Technicians for a validation and quality assurance provider located in Albany, NY.

These opportunities are for 2nd and 3rd shifts. 2nd Shift 2:00pm to 12:00am 3rd Shift 10:00pm to 8:00am First 6 months will be 1st shift 7:00am to 4:00pm for training.

Hourly rate is $40.00 to $50.00. This is a year assignment with potential of going direct.

• Ability to learn new skills regarding calibration and calibration processes.
• Previous experience with electronic or pressure training preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills including algebra, geometry and statistics.
• Familiarity with basic tools.
• Proficiency with office computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Basic organizational and time management skills.
• Basic interpersonal skills to interact with customers.
• Position will include team lead responsibilities.
• Candidates with experience in PMEL, PME, TMDE, Metrology, Calibration, ASQ CCT, METCAL, GPETE, Electronics, GCAMS.
• Determine work priorities and effectively manage workload to complete duties within demand and time constraints and in compliance with known standards.
• With guidance from department manager, provide training as needed to identified individuals.

• Preference for knowledge of typical pharmaceutical/biotech bench top and process equipment.
• Must be able to interpret and understand Engineering Drawings, also known as P& blueprints or prints.
