The Laboratory of Dr. Wei Sun is inviting applications for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join his research program in the Department of Immunology & Microbial Diseases at Albany Medical College. The research focuses on the cellular and molecular regulation of lung immune responses during vaccination with bacterial outer membrane vesicle (OMV)-based vaccines and infection with respiratory pathogens, including Yersinia pestis and Streptococcus pneumoniae, using murine models.
Responsibilities- Research the cellular and molecular regulation of lung immune responses during vaccination with OMV-based vaccines and infection with respiratory pathogens using murine models.
- Recent PhD in Immunology, Bacterial Pathogenesis, or a related discipline in the Biological Sciences.
- A strong track record of peer-reviewed publications.
- Experience in multi-parameter flow cytometry and familiarity with murine models of infection.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Salary will be commensurate with experience and in accordance with NIH guidelines.
