Location: City of Albany
Duties Description
Roles & Responsibilities- Responsible for conducting all phases of ongoing surveillance and research projects
- Act as a database manager of various federal and state database systems
- Assist the project team in designing and creating a dashboard
- Develop predictive models for evaluating and forecasting the future of healthcare in New York State
- Bachelor's degree or higher in public health, health informatics, data analytics, epidemiology, statistics, public administration, government analytics, mathematics, social sciences, engineering, or a related field and three years of professional research experience in an appropriate field.
- Substitution: 30 graduate hours leading to an advanced degree in an appropriate field may be substituted for the required experience.
- Substitution: a master's degree in an appropriate field may substitute for one year of experience, and a Ph.D. in an appropriate field may substitute for an additional year of experience.
- A master's degree and post‑degree professional experience in data visualization, statistical models, and data mining tools in the context of analysis and visualization of large data sets.
- Position may require travel throughout New York State, including overnights to areas not served by public transportation.
