Postdoctoral Fellow

Role Overview

Post‑doctoral researcher in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Physiology, Albany Medical College, Albany, NY. The candidate will be part of a NIH NCI‑funded multidisciplinary research team, including biomedical engineers and cancer researchers, to develop fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) to investigate breast cancer therapy and resistance.

• Develop FLIM techniques to investigate breast cancer therapy and resistance.
• Conduct experiments using tumor xenografts, HER2, EGFR, and related receptor biology.

• PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bioengineering, Physiology, Biophysics, Biochemistry, or equivalent.
• Strong expertise in cancer research and receptor biology (tumor xenografts, HER2, EGFR), tumor microenvironment and biomechanics, and/or fluorescence microscopy (FRET, FLIM) and small animal imaging.
• Ability to interact with a multidisciplinary team.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
