The Program Research Specialist 1/Trainee position supports fiscal and programmatic analyses for New York State's Early Intervention Program, which serves over 69,000 children. The incumbent will analyze program outcomes, service utilization trends, and costs, presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders. The role involves extensive SAS data management, database testing, and collaboration with other programmers in the Bureau of Early Intervention's Data and Program Evaluation Unit.
Keyqualifications
- Bachelor's degree with nine semester credit hours in statistics, biostatistics, economics, data analysis, or related field
- Two years of professional research experience with data collection, manipulation, and evaluation for program operations (for Grade 18 level)
- Proficiency with SAS programming and data management
- Experience with health program evaluation and reporting
- Strong writing and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Data quality assurance and systems support experience
