Are you a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on research experience and prepare for graduate or professional school? Our laboratory is seeking a motivated and responsible Research Technician to join our team. This position provides an opportunity to learn and develop practical skills in molecular biology, cell culture, and mouse research while contributing to ongoing biomedical research projects. Training will be provided for laboratory techniques and animal procedures.
What You'll Do
- Assist with mouse colony maintenance, breeding, genotyping, and record-keeping
- Perform routine animal care following institutional guidelines
- Learn and perform molecular biology techniques, including PCR, gel electrophoresis, and cell culture
- Assist with experiments, data collection, and laboratory documentation
- Maintain an organized laboratory and help manage research supplies
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or expected bachelor's degree in biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field
- Strong interest in biomedical research
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Willingness to learn new laboratory techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Prior research experience is helpful but not required
