The Office of Mental Health seeks a Research Scientist 3 to support the Bureau of Program Research and Evaluation in developing systematic, research-based approaches to evaluating OMH programs and initiatives. The role involves overseeing data collection and quality assurance, designing analytic strategies using quantitative and qualitative methods, conducting analyses in SAS and Tableau, and presenting findings to stakeholders. The position is located in the Office of the Chief Medical Officer in Menands, NY and requires coordination with federal and state agencies, external researchers, and program providers.
Keyqualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and four years of professional research experience in an appropriate field, OR Master's degree and three years of professional research experience
- Experience with quantitative statistical analysis and SAS
- Experience with qualitative data analysis and reporting
- Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Background in Biostatistics, Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related social science field
