Assistant General Manager

Job Summary

The Assistant General Manager is a collaborative, guest‑focused leader who supports the overall service vision and day‑to‑day operations of L’Avenue  partnership with the General Manager, this role ensures a refined, seamless dining experience while maintaining disciplined, consistent restaurant operations in a high‑visibility luxury retail environment. The AGM leads from the floor, sets a warm and polished hospitality tone, and helps teams stay aligned, prepared, and empowered throughout each service.

• Oversee daily front‑of‑house operations, ensuring thoughtful pacing, elevated service, and meaningful guest engagement
• Lead the floor during service, anticipating needs and resolving concerns with professionalism and care
• Train, coach, and support service teams to deliver hospitality that reflects L’Avenue’s luxury standards
• Assist with scheduling, labor planning, and shift execution to balance service quality with operational efficiency
• Partner with the General Manager on service strategy, operational planning, and ongoing process improvement
• Ensure adherence to health department regulations, food safety protocols, and company policies
• Collaborate closely with culinary leadership to maintain harmony between front‑ and back‑of‑house teams
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the client and internal partners through consistent communication and execution

• Experience leading front‑of‑house teams in a high‑volume, guest‑facing environment
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, service flow, and labor management
• Skilled communicator who brings a calm, polished presence to the floor
• Ability to coach teams and foster a positive, inclusive service culture
• Commitment to hospitality, service excellence, and creating memorable guest experiences
• Approximately 5+ years of food service leadership with a strong service focus
• Familiarity with luxury or fine‑dining environments
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
