Description

The Albany Hilton has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Line Cook. This position will be a Full-time evening position; typical hours will range from 4pm to 12:30am; reporting directly to the head Chef of the hotel.

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and standards.
• Ensure food quality and presentation meets customer expectations.
• Maintain clean and organized kitchen workstations and equipment.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to prevent food-borne illnesses.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
• Monitor food inventory and communicate with management to order supplies.
• Adapt to changing menus, food requests, and special dietary needs.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and advancements in cooking techniques.

• Minimum of 2 years of cooking in a fast-paced environment; preference will be given to those with hospitality experience.
• Completion of vocational school or a two-year associate degree; preferably in culinary.
• Excellent kitchen/restaurant administration knowledge and ability to work as part of team.
• Solid organizational, time-management and prioritization skills
• The ability to stand long periods of time on your feet and lift to 50lbs.

This position is a non-exempt position and pays 26.21 an hour.
